Hello! My name is Hannah Leigh Hoglund. I am a photographer, Minnesota native, environmentalist, and Masters Student. When I’m not out taking photos or on a hiking adventure, I am trying to save the world. nbd. I love chocolate and movies, and am recently engaged to the amazing Peter Ampe.

I have been taking photos ever since I can remember and have always loved capturing moments in time. I enjoy landscape, travel, portrait, and wedding photography. I have recently started videography as well, and am loving every second of it!

I love the use of natural light in my photography. My general philosophy is that photography should be about the natural beauty in life and the moments captured in it. Not over edited, or overly enhanced with Photoshop or other editing software. When I edit my photos, I try and correct my camera’s faults, maintain high quality, and keep a similar atmosphere as when it was taken. Natural & Real.

When people see my photography, I want it to cause them to stop and enjoy life for a peaceful moment before returning to the chaos of daily life. Gandhi once said, “be the change you want to see in the world,” which is exactly what I do with my photography and life.

I am currently living in Ames, Iowa, but work with clients in the Twin Cities area and Iowa. If you are out of the Midwest, contact me about special pricing for your event. I LOVE to travel!

Speaking of traveling, Peter and I will be living and traveling throughout Chile from January-July 2018. If you are inquiring about a wedding or session during that time I am so sorry to have missed you! I would still love to hear from you though, you never know what could happen!
